EKO European Championships 2024

We travelled to ValencisSpain to attend the European Knockdown Kumite & Kata championships on May 25th  2024.

Sensei Luke was representing United Kingdom in the Mens Senior Kata.  After a long wait he was on, but unfortunately nerves got the better of him and he was unsuccessful in the first round.

Sensei Denise was stand in Coach after Sensei Garry had to withdraw last minute due to family illness.

Luke went through his paces whilst Sensei Martin and myself watched from the spectator seats.  With over 480 competitors it was a high standard & long tournament.

After the tournament a long wait for the bus for the Sayonara party left us very tired – we partook of the liberal offerings of food and drink but eventually returned to the hotel to bed as we were returning home early the next day.

An interesting trip was enjoyed by all.
