Successful MOKKO Referee Course Hosted by Shihan Heath and Sensei Denise Jones
Recently, Shihan Heath, assisted by Sensei Denise Jones, delivered a comprehensive MOKKO Referee Course, bringing together karate practitioners from across the organisation for an informative and engaging day of learning.
The course attracted attendees from a number of dojos including Pontypridd, Llantrisant, Hertford, Barking, Oasis, and Boston, highlighting the commitment across the organisation to maintaining the highest standards of officiating and competition knowledge.
Throughout the day, participants received in-depth instruction on kumite rules and regulations, ensuring referees and officials have a thorough understanding of competition procedures and decision-making. The course combined detailed theoretical learning with practical exercises, culminating in a practical examination designed to test participants’ knowledge and application of the rules in a competitive environment.
The day proved both educational and enjoyable, providing valuable opportunities for attendees to develop their skills, share experiences, and strengthen their understanding of the responsibilities required of referees and judges within Kyokushin competition.
